Corey Heft and Brian Deel dominate BRL & TOUR Finals- Wednesday 21 April, 2010

At the BRL Finals at Trackside Hobbies, Corey Heft nearly ran away with the entire weekend by TQing both 10.5 and 13.5 COT, winning both mains and nearly beating Snowbirds COT Champion Brian Deel in the All Star Shoot-Out on Saturday night.

Going into the 2010 Snowbird Nationals we had high hopes and expectations from the Griffin 1/12 on-road cars and the Lithium 1/10 oval cars. Our cars and our racers had an outstanding weekend with wins in both oval and on-road, podiums and multiples of cars making the finals.

We are very proud to anounce that Bobby Flack is joining the Shepherd/CEFX team for 2010. Bobby brings years of experience and speed to our team making it even more likely you will be seeing the V10 in the winner's circle more this year. Bobby joins the team of defending IFMAR World Champion Daniele Ielasi, IFMAR Worlds Top Qualifier Jilles Groskamp, Josh Cyrul, Brian Thomas and another top level driver soon to be announced for this years IFMAR WC in Houston. The Shepherd team is looking stronger and stronger heading into this years World Championships later in the summer!!

In cooperation with Italian manufacturer Enneti we created this new line of on-road tyres. Shepherd tyres offer excellent grip combined with a low tyre wear. All tyres are available in white standard rims and light weight rims.

We are happy to inform about the release of the Velox V8 2010. From now on the pulley '09 set replaces the standard pulleys. Due to the improved teeth design the pulleys reduced the drag significantly. Small holes in the washers release the dirt and keep the pulleys clean for a long time. The small 16T pulley was replaced by an 18T pulley and the 24T pulley on the one-way axle was replaced by a 27T pulley. This results in less friction and a much longer lifetime for the new front belt. The new lightweight design of the pulleys guarentees an extremly good true running and reduces virbations to a minimum.

Kicking off the 2010 season in usual fashion, it was off to the home of world famous announcer & race organizer Scotty Ernst at Trackside Hobbies. For this years event, 1/12 would be in action at a race that has been a TC only event for years but with WGT added just last year. CEFX's own Josh Cyrul was in attendance and took home the win in 1/12 Modified.
